Don’t let the humble demeanor fool you, Nathan’s a quick study with a sharp wit. With roots in journalism, he has a special talent for zeroing in on the critical moments great stories are made of.

Those can be big, grandiose moments: He covered both the 2008 and 2012 elections for the Santa Fe Reporter, San Diego CityBeat and other publications. And they can be small, intimate moments: He was part of the team that created a financial literacy curriculum from AARP Foundation and Charles Schwab focused on helping people staring down retirement with little to no savings.

Nathan’s desk looks like an entire newsroom on deadline, so good luck finding him. If he’s not there, he’s somewhere rooting for the Portland Timbers or trying to keep up with his two little ones.
